21/1/2015 0 Comments Weekly newsletter 27 january 2015BACK INTO IT By now most of us are well and truly back into the swing of training and racing, and looking forward to a packed season, not to mention taking out Club Champs in May! Many of our members are looking forward to away races in the near future and of course there are a host of events in the local region – like the bcu Coffs Tri on 8 March (have you entered yet???). But in the immediate future is our next CHTC club race on Sunday 1 February. As always, please be racked & ready by 6:15am, with the race briefing at 6:20am and race start at 6:30am. An additional volunteer is needed for the swim duty. If you can volunteer on the swim this Sunday, please contact Mark Griffiths at [email protected]. Or, if you are already on duty and are willing to swap to swim duty, please let Mark know ASAP. Volunteers need to arrive by 5:45am, and don’t forget to sign on to register that you have turned up! The long range forecast is for a hot, humid day with possible showers. With all the rain we’ve been having of late, the roads are very slippery and there can be a lot of debris on the road, so please take extra care and plan your corners well so as to avoid sudden braking. We will once again have the incoming tide, as high tide is at 7:43am, so expect to be swimming for the majority of the time. Sea temperatures have been hovering the mid-20s, so we may be up for a no-wetsuit swim. Be prepared! In the meantime, please take care training in these wet conditions and remember that your safety is far more important than race times. See you on Sunday! UNIFORMS The next club race will be your last opportunity to order CHTC Tri gear for this season. It is also your last chance to have it back before Club Champs in May. If you are unable to attend the race on the weekend, please contact Michelle Clarke at [email protected] or phone 0412 091 449 and she will arrange a time and place where you can try things on. Also, we have a couple of items that members wish to sell. Both are new and not been worn. Please contact the sellers directly if you are interested:

Your help is very much appreciated by the team at Village Sports. MULTI-TASKING With lots of sunshine, hot temperatures and now rain to match you might find your lawn out of control.
