Our Point Score System
Are you looking to push your triathlon training to the next level and become a champion in your age group? The Coffs Harbour Triathlon Club has the perfect system to help you achieve your goals - our point score system!
Here's how it works:
• Earn points for racing at our events - the more you compete, the more
points you'll rack up!
• Volunteer for duty roles at our races and get even more points towards the
year-end championships.
• Your points are tallied based on your age group, so everyone has a fair shot
at taking home the title.
Whether you're a seasoned triathlete or brand new to the sport, our point
score system is designed to build our member base, encourage participation,
encourage people to volunteer, and celebrate the top performers in each age
category.
The details:
● 6,5,4,3,2,1 awarded for race finish by Age Group in the main distance contest
● 3,2,1 awarded for race finish by Age Group in shorter contests
● 1 point awarded for competing in a team
● 6 Points is awarded to each volunteer but only to a maximum of 3 races
● DNF or DQ awarded 1 point
● DNS awarded 0 points
● Some races have only 1 point for competing or volunteering. (Teams / novelty
events)
● Non or social members are removed from ranking point calculations
● Committee can award points for competitors who sacrifice their race for the benefit
of others
● The Age Group Winner is decided at the end of the season by the greatest total of
points in each Age Group

season, the winner shall be the person with the highest participation in club events

has attended the most number of races
● Age groups are (same for female and male):
