Official first club race of the season done and dusted. Despite a large number of members journeying to the Sunshine Coast we still had a great turn out. 56 starters for the long course and 17 over the shorter distance. Richard Pearson was fastest on the day , followed closely by Isiah Koopmans.
A little disappointing was the number of people noticed drafting. Rule 3.9a states: "For all events with a cycling distance up to and including 40 kilometres, the bicycle draft zone is a rectangle 7 metres long and 3 metres wide that surrounds every bicycle competitor and every motorcycle on the bicycle course. The front edge of the front bicycle and motorcycle wheel defines the centre of the leading 3 metres edge of the rectangle Competitors have 15 seconds to pass through this zone. "
