TRAINING

Members and non-members are welcome to attend the following informal training sessions:

  • SWIM: Every Saturday morning at 8.00 a.m. a group of swimmers gathers at the Water Police Headquarters in the northern corner of the Jetty beach for a swim across the harbour (1.5km return).
  • Aquathlon: During daylight savings a group meets on the jetty steps to the south of the Yacht Club  to participate in ‘Thursday Night Games’. The run/swim/run starts at 5.30pm sharp. The run is approx 2.5 km followed by a swim around the jetty (600m) finishing with another run. It’s a great way to finish off your week and you can go as fast or as slow as you like.
  • RUN: Club Coach Andrew Rowlings holds run sessions at Fitzroy Oval (next to the Olympic Pool) on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 6am-7am. Cost is $5 per session.
  • CYCLE: Every Saturday morning at 6.30am a group of cyclists gathers in the mall on Harbour Drive for a cycle out to Sawtell and back following the local roads and bikes paths.
