23/3/2016 0 Comments weekly newsletter 22 march 2016SUNDAY RACE REPORT It was definitely autumn weather for our return to club racing after BCU. A slightly smaller field contested our annual long course event. 57 people completed the event with Travis Shields coming in ahead of Isaiah Koopmans and Paul Herring. Kudos to Mick and Julie Darlow for turning up on their wedding anniversary. There was a little hiccup with loading the race results. There was a link provided for the long course. The link for the short course is being worked on and will be emailed as soon as possible. Upcoming Events

THANKS FROM VILLAGE SPORTS Village Sports would like to extend a huge thank you to all Coffs Harbour Tri Club members for their support of the bcu Coffs Tri. The event went off without a hitch and the feedback we have received from all involved has been extremely positive. An event of this scale would not be possible without the support of our local community, in particular the wonderful members of our club. Thank you to all members who competed and volunteered over the weekend. Many of you were out in the sun on Saturday and returned to race on Sunday. Whatever your involvement, we are truly thankful. Thanks to those of you who helped pack up on Sunday afternoon when a shower and sleep were probably all that you really wanted! It certainly made our job much easier having all that extra help. A special thanks must go to previous club members, Dan Stein and Aimee Sutton who travelled down early from the Gold Coast to volunteer. We are blessed to be part of a club with such amazing members. The date for the 2017 bcu Coffs Tri has been set for the 4th & 5th March so please lock it in. And for those of you not going to Club Champs, come and join us at the Ocean Swims on Sunday 3rd April. Thanks again from the Village Sports Team Mick, Sinclair, Hadley & Alison
