20/10/2015 0 Comments weekly newsletter 20 October 2015Club Sprint Race this weekend, who's ready? This will be a 250m swim , 6km bike then 2km run. This combo is done 1, 2 or 3 times. There will be no split times, just a time at the end of each run leg. There will be only 2 start times with a male and female wave. We have our novice day on November 8th. The committee would like to encourage all members to bring along friends, work colleagues, family who would like to try a tri. non members still need to register online by midday on Saturday. There will be a bbq and perhaps even a finisher medal for newbies. Those of you who still wish to race hard can but you may wish to complete alongside a novice to provide encouragement. A small note on race day. On the bike leg you must obey the road rules especially when needing to give way at roundabouts. If there is any doubt think might over right.
Phil Benoit our treasurer would like to hear from anyone who is still have trouble with overpaid or underpaid memberships through Active Network Phil would also like to hear from a member who would like to be the club representative on COFFSSAC(sports advisory council). it is a once a month meeting. Times: Participants can start between 4.30pm and 6.00pm and must finish by 7.00pm Cost: Members: Adult $6, Child $3, Family $15 Non-members: Adult $8, Child $4, Family $20 P-card Hire: $1 Format: Scatter-O. There will be 20 controls and the aim is to find any 18 (long course) or and 10 (short course) as quickly as possible. The first week at each venue will use Orienteering Flags and Electronic Timing at each control. The second week at each venue will be a multiple-choice Q&A for each control.
