Race Two - Sunday 13 October 2019

Race 2 was the Quality Accounting sponsored race.
The expected heavy rains didn’t eventuate, but the cool windy morning had a few opting for the comfort of their bed.
We did have a committed group of 40 shiver their way to the waters edge for a gender wave start.
The girls headed off and negotiated the choppy waters with ease.
Shannon O'Hara was again strong on the bike to hold off a fast finishing Jan Rooney, while
Alina Hill hit the podium for 3rd.
Amy Bennett looked strong on the run, Andrea Burth was consistent throughout and Alira Bayndrian is to be commended for helping Chris Hodge out of the water.
Sue Flanders beat the mind games and Caron Mackie raced well.
Isaiah Koopmans won in a canter, but great to Trev Fidge back in the podium after some calf issues. Al Fidge.
The Pres is finding form nicely, for a 3rd placing. Mark James Garner was his solid consistent self. Ian Swanborough warmed up for Forster, and Tony Cross looked the goods.
But let’s spare a thought for Chris Hodge who dislocated his shoulder via a dumping wave. He is now home and in good spirits.
Massive thanks also to Debbie Willoughby for her assistance .
Good racing everyone.
